630R-P High Opening Wide Belt Sander
Suitable for thickness polishing of various small workpieces such as fine wood floors, fiberboard, plywood, and solid wood. The machine features a frame structure that provides excellent shock absorption and noise reduction. It has been newly designed and manufactured by integrating advanced foreign technologies with the actual operational needs of domestic users. The steel thickness rollers are integrated with the pulleys, ensuring high precision in processing; adjustment of the height is easy, and the layout is logical. Two sets of sanding rollers can be used simultaneously for thickness control, or sanding pads can be employed for fine polishing. It offers high sanding capacity and precise polishing results. The integration of mechanics, electricity, and pneumatics ensures safe and reliable operation. The unique rollers and sanding pads of the RP model help to eliminate the marks left by rough sanding, thereby improving the polishing quality.

Two-Head Calibration and Polishing for Thick Small Workpieces, Flooring and Solid Wood
The 630R-P High Opening Wide Belt Sander is QUICKMO’s tall-opening, two-head calibrating sander, engineered for small workpieces that are too thick for a standard 630 mm machine. Manufactured by Qingdao Kuaimo Technology Co., Ltd. in Qingdao, China, the 630R-P raises the opening height to accept thicker flooring strips, solid wood components, fiberboard panels and small solid wood parts — while retaining the same two-head calibration and polishing capability as our compact calibrating line.
Why a High Opening Matters
Standard wide-belt sanders are designed around panel thicknesses of 6–40 mm. When the workpiece gets thicker — thick flooring blanks, solid wood blocks, small dimensioned timbers, curved furniture parts — the conveyor opening is not tall enough. Shops either run the parts by hand sanding or ship them to a separate thickness planer and polisher.
The 630R-P is built around a taller opening that accepts these thicker small workpieces. It calibrates and polishes thick solid wood parts in one pass, on a machine sized for small components rather than full-size panels.
Two Heads: Calibrate and Polish in One Pass
The 630R-P pairs two sanding stations in one machine:
- First sanding head (infeed): a calibrating roller that removes stock aggressively to bring the workpiece to target thickness.
- Second sanding head (discharge): a polishing head that fine-finishes the surface, removing the scratches left by the calibrating roller.
Both stations can be used together for full calibration and polishing in one pass, or used independently — just the calibrating head for thickness work, just the polishing head for surface finishing.
RP-Specific Rollers and Pads: Eliminating Rough Sanding Marks
The “P” in 630R-P denotes the polishing configuration. What sets the RP design apart is the specific combination of rollers and sanding pads in the polishing station:
- The polishing head uses a combination of steel rollers and compliant sanding pads that work together to eliminate the marks left by the preceding rough calibrating pass.
- Where a single hard roller would leave straight, visible scratch patterns, the RP configuration blends those marks out and leaves a fine, uniform surface.
- The result is a workpiece that comes out of the machine both at thickness and surface-ready — ready for finishing, assembly or packaging, without a secondary polishing step.
Built on a Rigid Frame
Like all QUICKMO calibrating sanders, the 630R-P uses a heavy, frame-based welded structure:
- Vibration and noise damping. The rigid frame absorbs vibration generated by high-speed sanding heads, preventing chatter marks and keeping the shop quieter.
- Integrated steel roller and pulley. The steel thickness-calibrating roller is integrated with the belt pulley into a single precision-machined unit, holding truer concentric run and delivering more uniform abrasion.
- Easy height adjustment. The head lifts and lowers smoothly, with clear, repeatable settings.
- Logical layout. Maintenance access, abrasive changes and day-to-day operation are all designed around the operator.
Integrated Mechanical, Electrical and Pneumatic Control
The 630R-P integrates mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems into one unified control architecture. Safety interlocks, feed drive and sanding head pneumatics all talk to each other; faults are detected immediately and protective actions are taken automatically. The system is engineered for safe, reliable daily operation.
What the 630R-P Handles
The 630R-P is engineered for a wide range of small, thick woodworking workpieces:
- Fine wood flooring strips and engineered flooring blanks, calibrating faces to uniform thickness.
- Fiberboard and hardboard panels, sanding faces and preparing surfaces.
- Plywood and hardwood plywood, small panel calibration and polishing.
- Solid wood components — chair parts, table legs, bed slats, small dimensioned timbers.
- Small cabinet and furniture components, where the high opening accommodates thicker profiles.
The 630 mm working width is sized for these smaller parts; the high opening is sized for thicker stock.
Who Is the 630R-P For?
The 630R-P is the right choice when:
- You process small workpieces that are thicker than a standard wide-belt sander’s opening.
- You need both thickness calibration and fine polishing on the same part.
- You run flooring, solid wood joinery or small furniture components.
- You want the RP configuration that eliminates rough sanding marks in the polishing station.
- You prefer a compact 630 mm machine rather than a full 1300 mm line.
Shops processing full-size doors and wide panels should look at the 1300R-R; shops needing very short parts (down to 240 mm) should look at the 630R-3P. For thick small workpieces needing calibration and polishing, the 630R-P is the purpose-built tool.
Why Choose QUICKMO
Qingdao Kuaimo Technology Co., Ltd. has spent more than a decade designing and building woodworking sanding equipment from our Qingdao facility. We integrate design, manufacturing and in-house engineering, which means customers deal directly with the people who build the machine — no dealer layers, no ambiguity about support. We ship worldwide, provide documentation and remote commissioning guidance, and stand behind every machine with a “quality first, service first” commitment.
The 630R-P High Opening Wide Belt Sander is the tall-opening answer to shops running thick small workpieces: a two-head calibrating and polishing machine with RP-specific rollers and pads that leave a fine, uniform surface.
