650R-RP Two Heads Thickness Calibration Sanding Machine

It is used for achieving a uniform thickness through polishing on various types of wood products such as solid wood composite materials, particleboard, fiberboard, and plywood, as well as on different kinds of doors and furniture. It features a frame-based structure that provides excellent shock absorption and noise reduction. Developed by integrating advanced foreign technologies with the actual operational needs of domestic users, it incorporates an eccentric steel rod combined with a pulley before processing, ensuring high precision. The conveying speed can be adjusted via frequency control. In the event of faults such as insufficient air pressure, misalignment of the sanding belt, or emergency braking, the conveyor bed automatically lowers to prevent damage to the workpieces. It is possible to use two sanding frames simultaneously for achieving a uniform thickness, or to use polishing pads for fine polishing. The adjustment of the height is easy, and the layout is logical. The system integrates light, machinery, electricity, and air control, ensuring safe operation.

Compact 650mm Twin-Head RP Sander for Small Panels, Narrow Stock and Small-Batch Production

The 650R-RP Two Heads Thickness Calibration Sanding Machine is QUICKMO’s 650 mm wide twin-head calibrating sander, built around the same RP configuration as our 1300 mm production line — but in a narrower, more compact footprint sized for small panels, narrow stock and small-batch furniture production. Manufactured by Qingdao Kuaimo Technology Co., Ltd. in Qingdao, China, the 650R-RP pairs a calibrating roller with a polishing pad station to deliver both thickness control and a fine surface on workpieces up to 650 mm wide.

Why a 650mm Twin-Head Sander?

Not every shop runs full-size 1300 mm doors and panels. Small furniture makers, custom cabinet shops, molding producers and small-batch factories run parts that are narrower — and they do not need to pay for the width, weight and floor space of a 1300 mm machine. A 650 mm twin-head sander gives them the same calibration-and-polishing capability in a compact package that fits in a smaller workshop.

The 650R-RP is the sweet spot for these shops: wide enough for most small furniture components, narrow enough to fit where a 1300 mm machine cannot.

The RP Difference: Roller Plus Polishing Pad

Like all RP sanders in the QUICKMO line, the 650R-RP arranges its two heads for both calibration and finishing:

  • First sanding frame (infeed): a calibrating roller that removes stock aggressively to bring the panel to target thickness.
  • Second sanding frame (discharge): a polishing pad station that follows immediately, blending out the roller’s scratch pattern and leaving a fine, uniform surface.

Where a standard twin-roller machine leaves cross-grain scratches visible, the RP configuration replaces the second roller with a compliant polishing pad. The result is a panel that comes out both at thickness and surface-ready.

Built on a Rigid Frame

Despite its compact size, the 650R-RP uses the same heavy, frame-based welded structure as our larger sanders:

  • Shock absorption and noise reduction. The rigid frame dampens vibration generated by high-speed sanding heads, preventing chatter marks.
  • Integrated eccentric steel roller and pulley. The calibrating roller is integrated with the belt pulley into a single precision-machined unit, holding truer concentric run.
  • Easy height adjustment. The heads lift and lower smoothly, with clear, repeatable settings.
  • Logical layout. Maintenance access and abrasive changes are designed around the operator.

VFD Feed and Automatic Fault Protection

The 650R-RP is built around variable-frequency feed drive:

  • VFD conveyor speed. Feed rate is set on the HMI and held constant.
  • Automatic bed lowering on fault. If air pressure drops, the sanding belt misaligns, or the emergency stop is triggered, the conveyor bed automatically lowers, preventing workpiece damage.
  • Independent head control. Each sanding frame can be raised, lowered and pressure-adjusted independently.

Flexible Use: Calibrate Only, Polish Only, or Both

The 650R-RP is flexible in how its two frames are used:

  • Both frames together for full calibration and RP polishing in one pass.
  • Calibrating frame only when the panel just needs thickness adjustment.
  • Polishing frame only when the panel is already at thickness and just needs surface smoothing.

What the 650R-RP Handles

The 650R-RP is engineered for smaller woodworking substrates:

  • Solid wood composite materials and edge-glued panels up to 650 mm wide.
  • Particleboard, MDF and fiberboard offcuts and small panels.
  • Plywood and hardwood plywood components.
  • Small cabinet doors and furniture parts, where a 650 mm width is sufficient.
  • Moldings, skirting and small panel products for furniture and joinery.

The 650 mm working width is sized for these smaller parts; the twin-head RP configuration delivers production-quality calibration and polishing on each one.

Who Is the 650R-RP For?

The 650R-RP is the right choice when:

  • You process panels and components up to 650 mm wide.
  • You need both thickness calibration and RP polishing in one pass.
  • You have limited floor space and cannot accommodate a 1300 mm machine.
  • You run small-batch furniture, custom cabinet work or small panel production.
  • You want the reliability of a frame-built, production-grade sander in a compact package.

Shops running full-size doors and 1300 mm panels should look at the 1300R-RP; shops needing double-side calibration should look at the WKXS R-R630-3. For small-panel twin-head RP work, the 650R-RP is the compact production tool.

Why Choose QUICKMO
